Radiology Locum Physician Diagnostic Mammography & General Radiology
Join our dynamic team as a Locum Diagnostic Radiologist specializing in mammography and breast biopsies, providing critical imaging services at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. This flexible, outpatient role offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in a supportive environment, ensuring high-quality patient care while maintaining your professional credentials. Work on a scheduled rotation, interpreting a variety of studies with a focus on mammography, breast biopsies, and other advanced imaging modalities, contributing to the health and wellbeing of the community in Grass Valley, CA.
Required Skills:
- Valid medical license and board certification in Radiology
- Experience interpreting mammograms, PET, CT, MRI, X-ray, and ultrasound studies
- Mammography (including biopsy privileges) with MQSA Standards compliance
- Ability to perform breast biopsies and other basic interventional procedures
- Proficiency in Cerner EMR and Dragon Voice Recognition systems
- Strong diagnostic skills across multiple imaging modalities
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience reading PET scans and other advanced imaging
- Familiarity with Teleradiology support systems such as MRG
- Previous outpatient radiology experience
- Ability to perform basic interventional radiology procedures
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of Radiology residency and fellowship if applicable
- At least 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in diagnostic radiology
- Prior experience with mammography and breast biopsies is highly desirable
Other Requirements:
- Credentialing with Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital and related facilities (90-120 days)
- Clean malpractice history or inclusive coverage
- Ability to work a flexible schedule starting December 8, 2025, with one week every other month
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am 4 pm; no call required
- Travel and lodging preferences for local candidates
