Job Description

Medicus is collaborating with a medical center in eastern Iowa that has an opportunity for an OB Hospitalist to assist their team.

Opportunity Overview:

  • Level III Trauma
  • Schedule: 12 or 24-hour weekday or weekend call shifts, 1:5 rotation
  • Setting: Inpatient
  • Delivery Volume: 65-80 per month
  • 40% low-risk patients, 60% high-risk patients
  • Duties: OB triage, deliveries, rounding, circumcisions if able, and
  • Required Procedures: Deliveries, laceration repairs, surgical gynecology, FHR interpretation, ultrasounds, and amniocentesis
  • Support Staff: 4 MDs, 1-2 CNMs, and labor & delivery, post-partum, OR, and ER staff
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Must be board-certified
  • Paid travel & expenses
