Posting Title: Logistics Coordinator Industry: Manufacturing Summary: The Logistics Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing supply chain. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound logistics activities, optimizing transportation schedules, managing carrier relationships, and maintaining accurate inventory records. In a fast-paced manufacturing environment, the Logistics Coordinator ensures timely delivery of raw materials and finished products, minimizes delays, and supports operational efficiency. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. By maintaining compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards, the Logistics Coordinator contributes directly to on-time production, cost control, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities: Coordinate inbound shipments of raw materials and components from suppliers, ensuring timely arrival and accurate documentation. The ideal candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States and physically present within the U.S Plan and schedule outbound shipments of finished goods, selecting optimal carriers and transportation modes based on cost, speed, and service requirements. Maintain real-time visibility into shipment status using ERP and TMS systems, providing updates to internal stakeholders and customers. Prepare and process shipping documents including bills of lading, packing slips, customs forms, and export declarations. Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure proper staging, loading, and dispatch of goods. Monitor freight costs and negotiate rates with carriers to achieve cost savings without compromising service quality. Resolve logistics disruptions such as delays, damages, or lost shipments through swift escalation and coordination with vendors and internal teams. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and international shipping regulations, including hazardous materials handling and export controls. Generate and analyze logistics KPIs such as on-time delivery rate, freight cost per unit, and carrier performance. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and recommending process enhancements. Requirements: Associates or Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field. ${experience} years of experience in logistics, supply chain coordination, or a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS). Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, carrier selection, and international shipping regulations. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines. Detail-oriented with high accuracy in documentation and data entry. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to respond quickly to disruptions. Familiarity with compliance standards such as DOT, FMCSA, and customs regulations (preferred). Valid drivers license and ability to perform occasional site inspections (if applicable). This is a remote position.
