Job Description
The Logistics Dispatcher is the central communication point, ensuring the seamless and timely
movement of freight. This role is crucial for maximizing driver efficiency and maintaining high
customer satisfaction by providing real-time updates and resolving potential delivery obstacles.
A key responsibility is proactively managing delivery expectations, particularly when delays
occur, by ensuring the receiver is informed and ready to accept the shipment.
Key Responsibilities
● Serve as the primary point of contact for a fleet of over-the-road truck drivers.
● Monitor the real-time location and status of drivers and shipments using TMS (Transportation Management System) and GPS tracking.
● Assign and adjust routes, schedules, and loads based on priority, driver availability, and operational needs.
● Address and resolve immediate issues faced by drivers (e.g., breakdown assistance,routing problems, access issues).
