Summary

The Logistics Specialist II provides lifecycle logistics, procurement, and sustainment support for hardware, software, and material assets supporting PMW 790’s STACC systems. This position manages inventory control, configuration tracking, shipping/receiving, and obsolescence management to ensure fielded systems remain mission-ready and compliant with Navy standards. The specialist collaborates closely with engineering, procurement, and installation teams to maintain accurate accountability and ensure timely material availability to meet operational requirements.

Responsibilities

+ Coordinate and track hardware and software procurements from requisition through delivery and acceptance.

+ Maintain asset and configuration records in Navy logistics systems, including DADMS, CDMD-OA, and DIPRDON.

+ Support shipping, receiving, packaging, and transportation of materials between design centers, vendors, and fleet sites.

+ Track license renewals, warranty utilization, and hardware obsolescence across STACC baselines.

+ Develop and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs), parts lists, and inventory documentation in coordination with engineering and platform-management teams.

+ Perform regular audits of inventory and serialized equipment to ensure accountability and compliance.

+ Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, and program finance for procurement status updates and delivery verification.

+ Support lifecycle sustainment planning, material forecasts, and provisioning documentation.

+ Support configuration-control processes and prepare sustainment reports, procurement summaries, and traceability metrics for management review.

Qualifications

+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

+ Experience with Navy supply systems and CDMD-OA.

+ Knowledge of DoD procurement regulations and asset tracking.

+ 4+ years of DoD logistics/procurement experience.

+ Experience supporting PEO C4I or NAVWAR logistics, procurement, or material-sustainment activities preferred.

+ Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team; ready for occasional travel or onsite support as required.

+ Proven problem-solving abilities with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

+ Excellent communication skills: able to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
