YOUR BACKGROUND:

  • Bachelor's degree or University Engineering
  • Experience in the Logistics Area (minimum of 4 to 5 years)
  • Advanced English (90%)
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office to facilitate data interpretation (Excel/Access) Responsible and able to have flexibility (multiple project management)
  • Ability to write business reports and timely response from service providers       Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
  • Analytical and reasoning skills for escalation to supervisor/leadership

General Functions:

TMS System (Transportation Management System) for Suppliers, Plants, Cross Docks and Carriers

  • Monitoring compliance with the use of the transportation management system for Air shipments (Small Parcel or P3/P4), Ocean FCL (Full Container Load), Ocean LCL (Less Than Container Load).
  • Data quality & accuracy of information loaded into TMS, which supports determining improvement projects.
  • Participation in training for optimal use of the TMS system (Access to the system, Spot bids, material tracking, etc.)
  • Active participation in meetings with TMC, or performance with plants-suppliers-cross docks to resolve pending issues.
  • Monitor pending issues identified by TMS contacts from other regions (Asia Pacific, and Europe)

    Weekly update of Origin-Destination report (OD Pair Report)

  • Share weekly report with
    • TMS updates for system update
    • Aptiv personnel, and carrier indicating the approved shipping method
  • Monitor new requirements, and issue routing instructions to all non-active global TMS suppliers shipping to North America, based on BU requirements and corporate guidance.

    Monitoring of continuous improvement projects

  • Identify optimization of international routes, for example optimize routes from ocean LCL to FCL, Air to Ocean. Shared activity.
  • Analyze historical spending and determine potential savings.
  • Assign project number for equipment tracking.
  • Present proposal to the business unit and work on project implementation. Validate ECIP/MCIP assignment by the Business Unit.
  • Monitor project execution

    Active participation in the implementation of new carriers by annual air and ocean tender

    Monitor possible crisis management situations (weather, congestion at land ports, strikes, security situation)

    Document internal or external domestic standard operating processes (e.g. SOP, work instructions)

    Provide training to Aptiv employees on corporate procedures (Shipping tracking, cost recovery from carrier issue cases)

    Be part of a work team that supports common results by complementing individual skills

    Excellent communication with all functional areas.

    Continue to improve knowledge of work-related operations.

    Any other work activity related to your position and/or required by your immediate boss
