Hiring for Machine Shop Shift Supervisor role with Machinery manufacturing industry.

Role: Machine shop shift supervisor

Experience: 2 to 5 yrs

Location: Peenya, Bangalore

JD:

Diploma / B.E. (Mechanical/Production/Industrial). •

2- 5 years in machining operations (CNC/VMC/HMC/SPM). • Minimum 1 year supervising operators in multi-shift environments.

A. Shift Production Execution • Allocate operators to machines (CNC, VMC, HMC, SPM, conventional). • Ensure adherence to machining process sheets, stage drawings, and cycle times. • Supervise deburring, grinding, and other special processes.

B. Quality & Firewall Discipline • Enforce process control at PM and FF firewalls. • Conduct in-shift inspections; segregate OK, rework, and scrap parts. • Coordinate with Quality for in-process checks and defect analysis.

C. Tool & Fixture Management • Ensure availability of tools, inserts, and fixtures for assigned jobs. • Monitor tool wear and raise replacement/resharpening requests. • Support SMED activities for fixture/tool changeover.

D. Safety & EHS • Enforce safe machine operations (guards, interlocks, coolant handling). • Conduct toolbox safety talks at start of each shift. • Report and escalate unsafe practices immediately.

E. People & Discipline • Supervise operators and helpers; maintain attendance and shift discipline. • Train operators on process adherence, safety, and 5S. • Motivate team towards achieving targets with quality focus.
