Machine Shop Supervisor

Aegis is seeking a Machine Shop Supervisor to join our client's organization in Chicago, IL (60619). This position is on 2nd shift (2-10 pm) with a 90 day training period on first shift (6 am-2 pm). The ideal candidate has the following experience:

• HS diploma or GED


• 5+ years of machining experience


• Steel or steel forging experience if not worked for a heavy industry manufacturer.


• Exposure to manufacturing, noise, moving machinery, metal chips and a variety of temperatures.


• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (8-12 direct reports on 2nd shift)


• Experience with CNC Machining – milling and lathe machines, Ingersoll and Gray machines)


• Mazak Machine Experience


• Experience with G-Code, tooling, feeds & speeds, and set up practices.


• Able to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and GD&T.


• Able to use precision measurement tools (Microm...
