ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Actively interpret technical drawings, program, set up and operate CNC machinery accordingly
  • Supervise machines and team during operation, making real-time adjustments for enhanced results
  • Report and document any discrepancies in operations, including maintenance faults
  • Generate a detailed shift handover
  • Oversee process changes within the team and department
  • Attend meetings for production / contract updates as required
  • Write CNC milling programs for all machines as required (Fanuc, Edgecam / Cadcam)
  • Set up and develop new and existing products on machine centres
  • Assist and advise in the design and jigs and fixtures
  • Maintain and control a current program register and tool inventory
  • Create SOPs, setup sheets and other documents to aid in production
  • General supervision of Machine Shop;
  • Support, coach, mentor, train and develop team. Highlight training gap...
