As a machinist, you will work on boring mills and lathes. Your role involves using your expertise in shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining methodologies to study drawings and specifications, determine dimensions and tolerances, and sequence machining operations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Study drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of machining operations.
+ Verify conformance of details to specifications using measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, and micrometers.
+ Operate specific controllers and program parameters to load, evaluate, and run specific programs.
+ Manually program Heidenhein controllers and have knowledge of Fanuc controllers.
+ Input additions, deletions, and changes to machining programs as instructed by the CAM department.
