Some of life’s best moments happen around the table. Whether it is a quick morning coffee with a friend, a loud family dinner, or a quiet glass of wine at the end of a long day, these simple gatherings are where connections are made.

One of Santa Maria College’s newest staff members, Maddison Hughes, understands this deeply. Maddison is not just a Careers and Humanities & Social Sciences Teacher but a talented artist. Her latest exhibition, Gathered Table, is now on display at Madalena’s Bar in South Fremantle as part of their Artist Residency program.

The collection celebrates the everyday. It captures the warmth of shared meals, the beauty in imperfect moments, and the way ordinary objects become part of our stories. Originally showcased at Peacetree Wines in Cowaramup, Maddison has since added new pieces, each inviting viewersto reflect on their own experiences.
