Essential Job Functions

  • Support a team of software engineers in the development of software products and solutions and technical support

  • Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team

  • Contribute to software development projects by writing, testing, and debugging code, under the guidance of senior team members

  • Collaborate with the team to meet project objectives, actively participating in code reviews and design discussions

  • Assist in the documentation of software requirements and specifications, striving for clear and effective communication

  • Participate in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, seeking guidance and mentorship

  • Learn and adapt to software development practices and methodologies, actively participating in training programs

  • Contribute to the implementation of best practices and emerging technologies

  • Collaborate with team members to enhance your understanding of software architecture and design

  • Contribute to the team's knowledge sharing and learning environment

  • Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) is required

  • 1-2 years of relevant Mainframe application developer experience is mandatory

  • Proficiency in 1 or more software programming languages: CICS and/or Cobol

  • Development methodologies experience: Waterfall and/or Agile

  • Coding and debugging skills are required

  • Good technical and analytical skill

  • Exceptional attention to detail and documentation skills

  • Additional Qualifications:

  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities

  • Strong problem-solving mindset

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the field

  • Time management and multitasking ability

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work well within a team

  • Preferred Diplomas / Studies/ Certifications:

  • Any exposure or certification in Life and Annuity Insurance domain will be preferred

  • LOMA will be preferred

  • Work Environment:

  • All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

  • Our address is: 6901 Windcrest Dr, D2-1E-76 Plano TX 75024. This position is hybrid and requires 2 days commute to our office

  • Our operational hours are 8 A.M. to 5 P.M CT Monday – Friday
