Roles and Responsibilities of a Mainframe Lead

·Lead and Manage Projects: Oversee mainframedevelopment projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring adherenceto project scope, goals, and timelines.

·Resource Allocation: Allocate resourceseffectively, including mainframe developers and analysts, to ensure optimalproject execution.

·Monitor Progress: Continuously monitor projectprogress, identify risks, and proactively address issues to ensure on-timedelivery.

·Technical Guidance: Provide expert guidance andleadership in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, andothers.

·Review Technical Designs: Review and approvetechnical designs, code, and configurations to maintain high standards ofquality and efficiency.

·Ensure Compliance: Ensure adherence to codingstandards, best practices, and compliance with organizational policies andprocedures.

·Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor a team ofmainframe developers and analysts, fostering a collaborative and productiveteam environment.

·Professional Development: Promote professionalgrowth and development among team members through coaching, training, andperformance feedback.

·Performance Evaluation: Conduct regularperformance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support career developmentplans for team members.
