Our client is currently seeking a Mainframe Network Engineer

Job Description:

  • Experienced MF Data Communication Analyst (10+ years)
  • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP: Deep understanding of core networking protocols
  • Firewalls & VPNs: Configuration and management for secure data transmission
  • Network Monitoring Tools: Tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, or IBM Net View
  • Switches & Routers: Hands-on experience with Cisco or similar hardware
  • Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and administration of TCP/IP, VTAM Unix System Services and portions of z/OS.
  • Support a redundant TCPIP network for a Parallel Sysplex by making use of Dynamic VIPA, Sysplex Distributor and HiperSockets.
  • Support non-shared USS file system in a Shared File system accessible by all LPARs within a Sysplex.
  • Install and maintain Connect: Direct (NDM), MSM and InterTest Batch utilizing SMP/E.
