Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Mainframe Storage Admin to join a CMMI L5 MNC. This is a full-time position available in multiple locations including Noida, Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, and Coimbatore. Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in DASD, a critical skill for efficiently managing Direct Access Storage Devices (Mandatory skill).
• Experience with TAPE management to oversee storage operations ensuring data integrity and accessibility (Mandatory skill).
• Solid understanding of z/OS, the core operating system for IBM Mainframes, crucial for all mainframe operations (Mandatory skill).
• Ability to conduct comprehensive SMF Analysis to monitor and improve system performance.
• Strong skills in Tape Management to organize and control tape-based systems effectively.
• Competence in Mainframe Storage Management, essential for ensuring optimal storage usage and performance.
• Strong analytical skills with the capability to troubleshoot and resolve complex storage issues.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teams and deliver efficient solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize mainframe storage environments including DASD and TAPE systems.
• Perform regular z/OS system maintenance and updates to ensure seamless operation.
• Conduct SMF Analysis to monitor performance and storage usage statistics.
• Implement and oversee tape management policies to maintain data integrity and accessibility.
• Coordinate with IT teams to resolve storage-related issues promptly.
• Participate in capacity planning to accommodate data growth and storage needs.
• Maintain documentation and provide training on storage systems best practices.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and corporate policies.
