Job Description:
- All 3 skills require N3+ Japanese language proficiency and should be certified.
• Monitoring & manage Production/Test LPARS.
• First level break-fix support for Mainframe-Infrastructure and its components.
• Perform operational functions such as IPL's , SAD and scheduled changes. Experience on OPSMVS, knowledge of system commands MVS/JES.
• HMC and Hardware support that are operated by customers or their third parties.
• Monitor batch cycles for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly jobs and report statistics.
• Ensure timely completion of the batch cycles as per the schedule.
• Check for long running jobs and investigate in case there are any loop back issues with batch jobs.
• Manage hardware and software problems. Involving support team as required.
• Ensure daily process & procedures remain accurate and up to date.
• Monitoring of online systems and escalating / resolving issues as required.
• Fix batch fails, Scheduling tools include Control M
• Incident/Change/Problem Management.
Mainframe Control M Batch Scheduling
• Good working knowledge on BMC Control M
• Second/Third level break-fix support for scheduling issues
• Define and maintain batch standards
• Ensure daily process & procedures remain accurate and up to date.
• Monitor batch cycles for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly jobs and report statistics.
• Ensure timely completion of the batch cycles as per the schedule.
• Working with the Client application teams to develop schedules in line with business requirements
• Identify and correct errors through proactive intervention.
• Fix batch fails. Scheduling tools include CA-7, Control M and good to have knowledge on ESP and TWS (OPC)
• Providing advice and consultancy to the client on how best to achieve their scheduling goals
