Job Description
- Develop and execute test plans/cases: Design comprehensive test strategies and detailed test cases based on business requirements and functional specifications.
- Perform various testing types: Conduct functional, integration, regression, system, and sometimes performance and security testing for both batch and online applications.
- Validate data integrity: Perform DB2 data validation by writing and executing complex SQL queries, and verify data in various file systems like VSAM and flat files.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues: Analyze job logs, spool files, and Abend reports for batch processing, and collaborate with developers and business analysts to identify and resolve defects.
- Manage defects and documentation: Log, track, and manage defects using tools like JIRA, HP ALM, or QC, and maintain detailed documentation of test results and procedures.
