Mainframe z/OS Systems Programmer

<div style="text-align: justify;"> <div style="text-align: justify;">We re looking for a Mainframe z/OS Systems Programmer with strong technical skills in system configuration, product installations, upgrades, and hardware refresh initiatives to help maintain and optimize our mainframe environment as part of a collaborative and fast-moving team.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> </div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> </div> <div style="text-align: justify;"><b>Job Responsibilities:</b></div> <ul> <li style="text-align: justify;">Perform standard system programming activities, including configuration, installation & maintenance using SMP/E, as well as vendor software installations, in the mainframe environment.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Perform operating system upgrade and RSU maintenance via z/OSMF Workflow.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Advanced System Management: Architect, install, and configure highly complex z/OS environments and third-party software.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Support software standardization and new Feature implementations.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Support other team: storage management, performance tuning, capacity planning, security, networking, and operating procedures from zOS perspective.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Work with the Mainframe System Programmers staff across tracks to enhance the mainframe environment.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Assist team members in solving problems, make innovative improvements, and make decisions.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Identify and implement system and process improvements in the z/OS environment.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Collaborate with application support teams and other internal stakeholders to drive business initiatives.</li> </ul> <div style="text-align: justify;"> </div> <div style="text-align: justify;"><b>Experience level:</b></div> <ul> <li style="text-align: justify;">12+ years of professional work experience as a Mainframe System Programmer in zOS & ISVs.</li> </ul> <div style="text-align: justify;"> </div> <div style="text-align: justify;"><b>Technical key skills (Mandatory skills):</b></div> <ul> <li style="text-align: justify;">Expertise in performing SMP/E and Non-SMPE Installation of ISV products.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Expertise in IBM and Broadcom Software product installation and Upgrades.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Mastery of z/OS system commands, utilities, and automation tools.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Operating system z/OS V2.5 upgrades or later with z/OSMF workflow execution.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">IODF, HCD Skillset: Adding new devices.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Sysplex and config management (good to have).</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Fluent in JCL and IBM Utilities (IEBGENER/IEBCOPY/AMASPZAP/DFDSS).</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">ISPF/TSO and other basics.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Basic knowledge of REXX/CLIST.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Designing a project plan (upgrades, maintenance, decom) with a task list for all stakeholders and communicating the timelines with the delivery and customer.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Formulate roadmaps with all prerequisites to achieve project completion.</li> </ul> <div style="text-align: justify;"> </div> <div> <div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> </div> <div style="text-align: justify;"><b>Benefits: </b></div> <ul> <li style="text-align: justify;">Health Insurance, Accident Insurance.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">The salary will be determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, location, relevant education, qualifications, experience, technical skills, and business needs.</li> </ul> </div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> </div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> </div> <div style="text-align: justify;"><b>Additional Responsibilities:</b></div> <ul> <li style="text-align: justify;">Participate in OP monthly team meetings and participate in team-building efforts.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Contribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.</li> </ul> <div style="text-align: justify;"> </div> <div style="text-align: justify;"><b>About us:</b></div> <div style="text-align: justify;">At OP, we help you harness the power of technology for maximum impact.
