Key Responsibilities:
1. Preventive Maintenance:
o Develop, implement, and oversee the preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment
and machinery.
o Inspect, test, and evaluate equipment to ensure they are functioning properly.
o Perform routine checks to identify potential faults before they cause issues.
2. Troubleshooting & Repairs:
o Quickly diagnose and repair faulty equipment to minimize downtime.
o Work with operators and production teams to resolve machinery issues.
o Perform root cause analysis to identify long-term solutions to recurring problems.
3. Maintenance Records & Documentation:
o Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including parts used, time spent, and
problems solved.
o Prepare and review maintenance logs to ensure compliance with company and regulatory
standards.
4. Equipment & System Installation:
o Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
o Ensure all systems and machinery are installed correctly, operating safely, and meeting
performance standards.
5. Team Coordination:
o Work closely with the production and engineering teams to ensure smooth operation of the
plant.
o Supervise and guide junior technicians and maintenance staff.
o Provide training to other staff on safe equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
6. Health and Safety:
o Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental
regulations.
o Participate in safety audits and risk assessments to improve plant safety and minimize
hazards.
7. Inventory Management:
o Monitor the availability and condition of spare parts and materials needed for maintenance.
o Order parts and ensure the maintenance budget is adhered to.
8. Continuous Improvement:
o Suggest improvements to enhance machinery efficiency and reduce downtime.
o Implement best practices in maintenance operations to enhance productivity.
9. Project Management:
o Assist in capital projects related to equipment upgrades or installations.
