**Job Summary**

EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support a complex of buildings totally approximately 350,000 square feet in Washington, DC. The Maintenance Engineer shall complete all engineering operations and mechanical/electrical maintenance of the facility under the general direction of the Lead Engineer.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**

Under the direction of the Lead Engineer, the Maintenance Engineer shall:

+ Operate all building systems in a safe and efficient manner.
+ Perform assigned preventive maintenance, reactive maintenance, capital alterations and utility tasks.
+ Respond as required to emergency situations.
+ Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance procedures and schedules on facility mechanical equipment.
+ Chemically treat water systems as required, utilizing a designated water treatment service.
+ cooperate with Client personnel in laying out maintenance schedules to agree with plant and system operating schedules.
+ Provide necessary assistance and advice in the maintenance engineer's area of expertise to other plant personnel when required.
+ Stay informed of mechanical maintenance procedures and developments in plant equipment and operations
+ Prepare reports and keep records as required.
+ Actively assist the Lead Engineer in implementing other activities such as safety and fire protection.

**Qualifications**

+ Shall possess a Universal CFC License
+ Shall possess experience in mechanical and operations involving chillers, boilers, heat exchangers, heavy duty pumps, compressors, instruments, diesel engineers, control valves, cooling towers, refrigeration equipment and other similar equipment
+ Ability to understand the French Language is a plus

Compensation Range: $41.35/hr. - $46.15/ hr.
