Maintenance Manager | Technymon – Dharwad

Role Summary

Technymon is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance and reliability for our Dharwad manufacturing facility. The role covers end-to-end upkeep, uptime improvement and safety compliance for critical production equipment including furnaces, stamping machines, hydraulic presses, coil cutting & chamfering machines, calanders, zinc & copper plating lines, N₂/O₂ utility systems , and tool room machines (CNC, VMCs, lathes, grinding machines) .

Key Responsibilities 1) Equipment Maintenance & Uptime
  • Lead preventive + breakdown maintenance for:
  • Furnaces / heating systems (temperature controls, panels, sensors, thermocouples)
  • Stamping machines & hydraulic presses
  • Coil cutting & chamfering machines
  • Calanders and production auxiliaries
  • Zinc & copper plating lines (mechanical + electrical maintenance)
  • Tool room machines: CNC, VMCs, lathes, surface/centerless grinding machines
  • Ensure high uptime through robust PM schedules, inspection checklists, lubrication and planned shutdowns
  • Drive troubleshooting and reduction of repeat failures using structured diagnostics
2) Utilities & Plant Services
  • Maintain reliable utilities including:
  • N₂/O₂ plant systems and distribution safety systems
  • Compressors, dryers, air pipelines
  • Power distribution panels, electrical systems, lighting and safety systems
  • Cooling water systems, pumps, exhaust/ventilation systems
3) Safety, Compliance & Statutory Readiness
  • Ensure adherence to safe maintenance practices including LOTO, machine guarding, interlocks
  • Support safety and statutory compliance across furnace operations, hydraulic systems, gas systems and plating areas
  • Maintain documentation required for audits and internal reviews
4) Maintenance Planning, Spares & Cost Control
  • Prepare monthly/annual maintenance plans, shutdown schedules and critical spares strategy
  • Manage vendor/AMC coordination, repair outsourcing, and procurement support
  • Track and report KPIs: downtime, MTTR, MTBF, PM adherence, spare usage, maintenance cost
5) Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead and develop the maintenance team (mechanical/electrical technicians)
  • Implement TPM, 5S, Kaizen , breakdown tagging, and reliability improvements
  • Conduct RCA/CAPA for chronic issues and drive measurable improvements
Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics (preferred)
  • 8–15 years experience in maintenance within a manufacturing plant
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Hydraulics & pneumatics (press shop maintenance)
  • Electrical troubleshooting, control panels, sensors & safety circuits
  • Furnace and heat-based process equipment maintenance
  • Tool room equipment upkeep (CNC/VMC/lathe/grinding machines)
  • Good leadership, vendor management and reporting skills
