allnex is on the lookout for a Maintenance Manager to join our team in Wacol, QLD and take ownership of all maintenance operations, asset reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a leadershiprole where your expertise will directly impact operational performance and long-term sustainability. 


As our Maintenance Manager, you’ll lead and oversee all maintenance activities and asset integrity programs to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. You’ll steer everything from preventive maintenance planning to breakdown strategies, SAP system optimization, contractor management, budgeting, process improvement, and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor and inspire the Maintenance Coordinator, technicians, and contractors.

    Build a culture rooted in safety, accountability, and operational excellence.


  • Maintenance Planning & Execution

    Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.

    Ensure maintenance planning, scheduling and execution is seamless through SAP.

    Drive performance through maintenance KPIs and continuous improvement.


  • SAP System Ownership

    Manage and optimize SAP PM – from work orders to asset tracking and reporting.

    Ensure data accuracy and system compliance.

    Train and support internal teams to use SAP effectively.


  • Safety, Compliance & Budget

    Ensure all maintenance work meets regulatory, company, and safety standards.

    Manage maintenance budgets and uncover smart ways to optimize costs—without compromising safety or reliability.


  • Continuous Improvement

    Champion root cause analysis, reliability upgrades, and process improvements.

    Lead improvement programs to minimize breakdowns and increase equipment lifespan.


  • Required skills and experience

  • 5+ years in industrial maintenance, chemical or process plants environment is an added advantage.

  • Proven leadership experience overseeing maintenance teams and contractors. 

  • Hands-on exposure to SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) is highly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and utilities systems.

  • Experience driving maintenance improvement programs and reliability initiatives. 

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills

  • Skilled in troubleshooting, decision-making, and multi-tasking under pressure

  • A safety-first mindset with strong regulatory knowledge (e.g., WHS, EPA, ISO)

  • Commercially savvy—able to balance performance, safety and cost efficiency

  • Always striving for better—optimized systems, stronger processes, smarter outcomes

  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or formal Maintenance qualification.
    (Significant experience in maintenance leadership will also be strongly considered)
