Position Overview

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing and managing preventive and corrective maintenance plans to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. This role coordinates resources, schedules work orders, and supports continuous improvement in maintenance processes within a chemical manufacturing environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for plant equipment and facilities.
  • Review and prioritize work orders, ensuring timely execution of maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Ensure availability of spare parts and materials for scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Support root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor compliance with safety and environmental standards during maintenance activities.
  • Prepare reports on maintenance KPIs and present findings to management.
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services.
  • Minimum Requirements

  • Technical degree or bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance planning within manufacturing or chemical industry.
  • Proficiency in CMMS systems and MS Office tools.
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Monterrey, Mexico.
  • Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with SAP PM or similar ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and Lean methodologies.
  • English proficiency (reading and writing).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
