Senior Maintenance Planner based in Kwinana

Experience:

  • Candidate required minimum of 7 years’ experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably within the maintenance or construction industry.
  • Must have strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling processes, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Must have experience in developing, tracking, and presenting key performance indicator (KPIs) across maintenance portfolio.
  • Must strong in budgeting, cost control and resource allocation for maintenance activities.
  • Interview arrangement flexible (face-to-face or virtual).
  • Preferable candidate based in Perth.

Job Summary

As a Senior Maintenance Planner at Kwinana, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and overseeing the maintenance plan across a diverse maintenance portfolio within terminal operation, including Tank Turnaround, Routine Maintenance, and Maintenance Capital Projects. Your role will ensure the safe, reliable, and cost-effective execution of maintenance activities. Leveraging your technical and planning expertise, you will plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance in compliance with industry standards and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and oversee maintenance plans across maintenance portfolio (Tank Turnaround, Routine Maintenance, and Maintenance Capital Projects) to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance execution.
  • Apply technical and planning expertise to plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring all work complies with industry standards and HSE requirements.
  • Analyze maintenance data, identify improvement opportunities, and collaborate with site-embedded maintenance contractors to enhance maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Deliver Integrated Planning processes across the site (projects, maintenance, and other work fronts) utilizing a Long- and Short-Range Integration Schedule Process.
  • Develop, track, and present key performance indicators (KPIs) for the maintenance portfolio, such as maintenance backlog, schedule compliance, and cost performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably within the maintenance or construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling processes, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (such as Maximo, ERP, Primavera, etc.) to plan, schedule, track and analyse maintenance activities.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI or other analytical platforms to interpret maintenance data and produce reports.
  • Experience in developing, tracking, and presenting key performance indicators (KPIs) across maintenance portfolio.
  • Experience with integrated planning processes and Long- and Short-Range Integration Schedule Processes.
  • Strong in budgeting, cost control and resource allocation for maintenance activities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulatory compliance and HSE requirements related to maintenance and project planning and scheduling.
  • Ability to analyze maintenance data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights for continuous improvement.
