Job Title: Maintenance & Project Executive Company: HINDUSTAN UNILEVER LIMITED Job Summary The Maintenance & Project Executive at Hindustan Unilever Limited will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of plant machinery and infrastructure, while also actively managing and executing various engineering projects to enhance productivity, safety, and sustainability within our manufacturing facilities. Job Responsibilities * Oversee the day-to-day maintenance activities, including preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance, for all plant machinery, and infrastructure to ensure optimal operational efficiency and minimize downtime. * Develop, implement, and monitor maintenance schedules and procedures, also he will be responsible for optimizing resource allocation and improving equipment reliability. * Lead and execute engineering projects from conception to completion, including scope definition, budget management, timeline adherence, contractor supervision, and final commissioning. This includes projects related to capacity expansion, new equipment installation, process improvements, and energy efficiency initiatives. * Ensure strict adherence to all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and quality standards throughout all maintenance and project activities. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments. * Manage spare parts inventory effectively, ensuring critical parts are available while optimizing stock levels to control costs. * Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams to identify maintenance priorities, resolve technical issues, and support overall plant objectives. * Train and mentor junior technicians and maintenance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. * Prepare detailed reports on maintenance performance, project progress, budget utilization, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review. * Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance practices, cost reduction, and energy conservation. Job Qualification: * BTech in Mechanical
* 3-8 years of proven experience in maintenance and project management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in the FMCG sector / Beverages. * Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes, machinery, and utility systems (e.g., boilers, compressors, HVAC, packaging lines & process plants). * Demonstrated experience in managing engineering projects, including budget control, vendor management, and project scheduling. * Knowledge of safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, local industrial safety standards) and environmental compliance. * Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. * Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage external contractors. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding and dynamic environment.
