Description

The Role As a Mechanical Trades Trainee, you'll work under the guidance of experienced team members to assist with the maintenance, service, and repair of mechanical systems. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to learn and develop their career in the mechanical trades industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with monitoring site safety and environmental requirements
• Support the hydraulic and pneumatic installation, service, and repair process
• Help with fault finding and basic servicing of mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Assist in compiling quotes within the Delegation of Authority (DOA)
• Support with flange management, pressure testing, and other routine tasks

What We’re Looking For

• Relevant trade qualification or a willingness to learn on the job (e.g., mechanical, small engine, or plant mechanic)
• Ideally, some hands-on experience or internships in the mechanical field (but not essential)
• Strong willingness to learn and develop your skills further
• A positive attitude and a keen interest in mechanical systems

Skills and Experiences

Essential Requirements

• Industry white card (or willingness to obtain)
• Current driver’s license and reliable transport
• Right to work in Australia
• Able to pass industry medicals
• Willingness to complete Confined Space and Working at Heights training (can be provided on the job)
• Criminal history check may be required

Desirable But Not Essential

• Forklift ticket
• Elevated Work Platform (EWP) license
• Senior First Aid Certificate
