Brief Description


This four-year programme combines practical learning with academic study. You'll develop specialist skills to maintain and operate our 'state of the art' automated electronics assembly equipment, working alongside experienced professionals and building a strong foundation for your future career.

For the first two years of this exciting opportunity, you'll train 50% at Toyota's Technical Skills Development Centre (part of Burton and South Derbyshire College) and 50% at Pektron receiving on the job training. For the final two years you will spend the majority of your time at Pektron broadening your skills in readiness to become a member of our maintenance team.

You will learn skills such as electrical installation and fault finding, technical drawing and PLC programming in a mixture of classroom and hands on work.
