Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:
As a Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various types of food processing equipment to uphold smooth production operations. You will perform regular preventative maintenance, identify and resolve mechanical issues, and ensure all machinery meets safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures on food processing and packaging equipment, such as mixers, blenders, ovens, baggers, wrappers, case erectors, sealers, and conveyors.Repairs & Adjustments: Carry out repairs and replacements on machinery components like motors, switches, pipes, and electrical equipment; make necessary adjustments for optimal performance.Machinery Rebuilds: Take apart, rebuild, and reassemble machinery using hand and power tools.Preventative Maintenance: Perform detailed preventative maintenance services following company standards to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.Support & Problem Solving: Offer technical assistance for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and maintenance repair activities to maximize operational efficiencies.Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, participate in safety meetings, and suggest ideas for continuous improvement. Requirements:
AAS degree in a related field or maintenance certification, or equivalent of 4+ years of maintenance training and experience.Industry Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in a food, beverage, or similar manufacturing setting.Mechanical Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, belts, chains, sprockets, bearings, pulleys, gearboxes, and conveyors.Attributes: Self-motivated, energetic, punctual, and willing to work overtime when needed, including some Saturdays; dedicated to optimizing processes and enhancing equipment performance. Preferred Qualifications:
Technical Proficiency: Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.Preventative Maintenance Systems: Familiarity with SAP, CMMS, or other maintenance management systems.Electrical Skills: Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting.Veteran Status: Military veterans are encouraged to apply.
