Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician – PM Shift (Confidential Employer) Pay: $26.00–$38.00/hr DOE Shift Differential: +$2.00/hr (PM shift) Location: Northern Illinois (exact site disclosed later)

Modern, highly automated food & beverage manufacturing facility seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support production and plant utilities. This employer is known for strong pay, excellent benefits, and long-term stability.

Responsibilities

• Preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment

• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and reduce downtime

• Support automated processing and packaging lines

• Assist with changeovers and startups

• Complete work orders and documentation

• Support facility utilities (boilers, chillers, HVAC, cooling towers)

• Follow all safety, food safety, GMP, and LOTO procedures

Requirements

• 3+ years industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience OR technical training

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Experience with bearings, seals, gearboxes, chains, belts, and sprockets

• Ability to read manuals and schematics

• Basic computer skills

• Willing to work PM shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays

• Boiler, HVAC, compressed air, or hydraulics experience a plus

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50–70 lbs

• Stand, walk, climb ladders, and work at heights
