Job Title: Maintenance Technician – Electrical (2nd & 3rd Shifts)
Location: North Vernon, IN
Contract Length: 12 Months (Contract-to-Hire)
Shifts: 2nd & 3rd Shifts Available
Pay Rate: Up to $26/hour
Schedule: 40 hours/week + OT expected
Position Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician – Electrical to support manufacturing operations with a focus on automation, controls troubleshooting, and electrical maintenance. This role is on-site at a leading manufacturing facility in North Vernon, IN, and reports directly to the Controls Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
Support software and hardware related to automation systems
Participate in design, development, and launch of automation equipment
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems (CNC mills, conveyors, robots, etc.)
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Complete documentation and communicate effectively with the team
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing process controls
Proficiency in troubleshooting plant equipment using sound repair methodology
Experience working from mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics
Working knowledge of control systems (Allen Bradley and/or Fanuc preferred)
Familiarity with ISO9001/IATF16949/ISO14001 standards
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Education Requirements:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in one of the following:
Automated Manufacturing
Electronics
Computer Science
Mechanical or Tool Engineering Technology
OR equivalent experience in these fields
Additional Details:
