Job Description

Our client is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians – Forge to support high‑volume manufacturing operations on 2nd and 3rd shift. This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment used in forging, compacting, deflash, double disk grinding, shot peen, and whitelight inspection processes. You'll perform preventive maintenance, support production uptime, and ensure equipment reliability in a fast‑paced, safety‑driven environment.

Contract Duration: 12 months | Contract-to-Hire (based on performance and business needs) | W2

Work Schedules: 2nd and 3rd Shift

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planned maintenance activities to reduce operational disruption.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and follow all safety procedures.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, and basic hydraulic troubleshooting on forging and compacting equipment.
  • Complete preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks per work orders.
  • Support production by responding to equipment issues and minimizing downtime.
  • Maintain and repair equipment used in forging, compacting, deflash, double disk grind, shot peen, and whitelight inspection.
  • Communicate repair status, material needs, and equipment issues to maintenance and production leadership.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure equipment capability and reliability.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and share technical knowledge with the maintenance team.

Qualifications/Must Haves:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and basic hydraulic systems.
  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance or manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, prints, and equipment manuals.
  • Strong safety mindset and ability to work in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of forging, compacting, deflash, double disk grind, shot peen, and whitelight inspection processes.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with ISO9001, IATF16949, or ISO14001 standards.
  • Experience in automotive or heavy industrial manufacturing.
  • Associate Degree in Applied Science (Electronics, Mechanical, Hydraulics, Automated Manufacturing, etc.)
  • Experience with magnetic particle inspection, dip tank operations, or video ink jet systems.
