In a Repair and Maintenance position at Iowa Select Farms, you would join a team that oversee our maintenance work tickets and facility repairs. An overview of daily responsibilities includes, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Oversee the maintenance for facilities in the geographical region and production system in which you applied for 
  • Work closely with site manager and/or production supervisor to ensure the facility operates at optimal levels.
  • Utilize work ticket system to effectively track and prioritize each repair. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge in general construction methods including plumbing, electrical, carpentry and welding. 
  • Work with various hand and power tools to complete repairs.

    • *All duties completed while adhering to Iowa Select Farms policies and procedures. 

    Compensation details for a full-time position includes: 

  • Full time positions are paid an hourly wage, and pay periods occur biweekly. 
  • Pay wage is determined by experience level coming into the role, so previous experience and proficiency in areas listed above is preferred.

    • Minimum requirements for this position include: 

  • Adhering to all company biosecurity, animal well-being and safety policies
  • The ability to lift, push or pull up-to 75lbs and climb over gates up to 48 inches in height. 
  • Must be self-motivated, dependable, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment 
  • Availability for rotating on-call weekend responsibilities.
