Job description

The maintenance technician is in charge to keep plant machinery, auxiliary equipment, and facilities in proper operating condition within the machining area by detecting and correcting failures, assessing and reporting the condition of machinery, auxiliary equipment, and facilities, as well as identifying maintenance and spare parts needs. To perform Preventive Maintenance on machinery and auxiliary equipment in the machining area, working autonomously and responsibly, and ensuring compliance with and adherence to the organization’s guidelines.

    • Responsibilities

  • Receive shift handover and pending work from the previous shift.
  • Verify proper operation of assigned equipment.
  • Attend to pending and current work orders, performing the necessary corrections and properly closing work orders.
  • Prepare spare parts requisitions for the spare parts warehouse.
  • Verify proper operation of assigned equipment (lathes, milling machines, planers, mechanical saws).
  • Execute Preventive Maintenance work orders.
  • Prepare daily logbooks and hand over the shift to the next technician.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management system policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.

    • Requisitos

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or technical career in machines and tools.
  • Safety in work at heights
  • Safety in electrical maintenance work
  • Safety in welding and cutting work 
  • Knowledge in pneumatics and electromechanics
