The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and systems. This role ensures that machinery operates efficiently and safely, reducing downtime and supporting overall production performance in a unionized manufacturing environment.
**Schedule**
Monday to Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM (4-day work week, 10-hour shifts)
Overtime on Fridays as needed (mandatory when required)
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery and facility systems based on schedules and logs.
2. Diagnose equipment issues and perform mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic repairs.
3. Replace worn components, align and calibrate equipment as necessary.
4. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and maintenance manuals.
5. Document all work performed and maintain accurate records.
6. Respond to emergency breakdowns and production stoppages.
