ABOUT TIEMPO

Our fully-owned for-profit subsidiary La Causa Development in Arizona and Nevada provides professional expertise in full service real estate development from design to implementation. SCHEDULE

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7AM-4PM plus on-call for emergencies.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

You will be integral in the daily operations of a 53-unit complex, attending to day-to-day functions in all fields of maintenance such as plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, grounds keeping, and apartment turnover. You'll be doing work in all types of weather, indoors and outdoors. You'll be active and moving throughout the site, including moving up to 100 pounds and very frequently up to 50 pounds. During the course of a day, you'll be working with hand and power tools for construction, maintenance and landscaping jobs.


WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN?



  • Adaptability. You roll your sleeves up and can get the job done in all types of conditions.

  • Always Ready! You know emergencies can happen in a 53-unit build and are ready to jump in to help.

  • You're never one to stay still! The work requires medium to heavy physical demands with prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and moving 50-100 pounds.

  • You know your tools! Working with hand and power tools is second-nature to you. In fact, you always have your go-to hand tools ready to go! Power tools include, but are not limited to, power drill, grinder, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, power floor cleaner, power drain cleaner and key machine.

  • You value communication. You have clear and effective communication skills - verbal and written. You're skilled in presenting operational information to personnel of all levels.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.    

  • Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Participate in continuous learning, competency building and maintenance of competency skills. 


PERSONAL TOOLS

Each employee must provide his own hand tools. The organization does not reimburse for tools that are broken, worn out, lost or stolen. Employees must have at minimum the following set of tools. Employees who do not have their own tools may make arrangements with District Manager’s approval to purchase tools. Repayments must be made within three months through payroll deductions. If employment is terminated for any reason before repayment is completed, payment in full will be withheld from final paycheck.


DRESS CODE

Neat, cleanly groomed, and dressed including shirt and protective shoes in accordance with CPLC Personnel Policy and Procedures. Shorts are permitted during certain times of the year. Must be clean-shaven, or beards trimmed daily.
