**Hiring for a Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
+ Adjust or repair packaging equipment.
+ Repair or replace defective equipment and parts using hand and power tools.
+ Perform routine preventative maintenance on all equipment.
+ Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance tasks while documenting all activities.
+ Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, referencing blueprints, repair/owner manuals, engineering specifications, and parts catalogs as necessary.
+ Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
+ Work with outside contractors and plant operations to ensure all maintenance is completed safely and efficiently.
+ Maintain plant utilities, including boiler, HVAC, air compressors, refrigeration compressors, anhydrous ammonia systems, and building and grounds maintenance.
