Job Description
Manage and lead the resolution of major incidents to restore services efficiently. Coordinate cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement solutions. Ensure timely communication with stakeholders regarding incident updates and resolutions. Develop and maintain incident management processes and documentation. Analyse incident trends to identify areas for improvement and risk mitigation. Act as a point of escalation for critical incidents within the organisation. Collaborate with service teams to ensure adherence to SLAs and operational standards. Provide post-incident reports and recommendations for future prevention. The Successful Applicant
A successful Major Incident Manager should have:
A degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Experience in managing incidents in a technology-focused environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure. Excellent communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Knowledge of incident management frameworks and tools. A proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential risks.
