Job Description

  • Position Summary Under the general supervision of the Manager of the Telfair Pavilion, the Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing mammograms, needle localizations, breast ultrasounds, cyst aspirations, and needle biopsies using proper technical factors on adult and geriatric patients that are primarily female (occasionally procedures are performed on males). The Mammography Technologist applies principles of radiation safety and protection and is capable of evaluating radiographs for technical quality. The Mammography Technologist provides patient care essential to radiographic procedures and recognizes changes in patient's condition and responds to conditions requiring attention. The Mammography Technologist maintains accurate and retrievable records.
  • Education Bachelors of Science - Preferred
  • Experience 2-3 Years Mammography - Preferred
