We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to own the monthly close, lead core accounting processes and elevate our reporting, compliance and controls. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Group Accounting, you’ll manage and mentor a team, partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Customer Service and RevOps, and help us mature our close & controls environment without sacrificing speed.
YOUR TASKS
Refine the end-to-end accounting process, including roles and responsibilities, processes, and policies that reflects industry best practicePrepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations (e.g. cash, deferred revenue, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, commissions, payroll, intercompany)Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, e.g. file statutory financial statements, tax returns, etc.Coordinate tax work with service providers, i.e. VAT, CIT, Sales taxMaintain accounting policies, and documentation; drive continuous improvement and automation, and leverage AI in doing soAssist with Group and statutory auditsLead and develop staff within Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger teamsYOUR PROFILE
Accounting degree or similar with a focus on finance and accounting8+ years of total relevant experience, including accounting in accordance with HGB and IFRS/US GAAP, with at least 2+ years of managing people 3+ years of working experience in an auditing firm (BIG 4 is a plus) ACCA/CIMA/CA/CPA license or equivalentStrong time management and ability to manage competing priorities - goal/results and deadline-drivenDeep understanding of revenue recognition principles and differences between HGB and IFRS/US GAAPPrecise, structured and independent way of working with high quality standards Team-player capable of working both collaboratively and independently with all levels of the organizationAdvanced Microsoft Office skillsFluent in English and GermanFACTS FOR YOU
