The GI Reinsurance department is responsible for ensuring that insurance risk is appropriately mitigated by designing and managing reinsurance structures aligned with TD Insurance’s risk appetite. The team also evaluates actuarial reserves and the ultimate cost of catastrophic loss events and provides periodic financial reporting of reinsurance‑related results.

Reinsurance Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Lead the team responsible for monthly reinsurance financial reporting, including analysis and evaluation of amounts recoverable from reinsurers, and work closely with Finance on issues that arise
  • Participate as a core contributor in the annual reinsurance treaty renewal process, review reinsurance strategy, and coordinate communications with reinsurance brokers and TD Global Counterparty Credit
