Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai<br/><br/>Experience:<br/><br/>CA with 4+ years, OR<br/><br/>Non-CA with 8+ years in Internal Audit<br/><br/><b>Role Summary:</b><br/><br/>We are seeking an experienced Internal Auditor with strong exposure to Housing Finance / LAP / Home Loan portfolios within an NBFC or Bank. The role is responsible for conducting branch and field audits, evaluating adherence to RBI guidelines and internal credit & operational policies, and strengthening process controls across the lending lifecycle.<br/><br/>This role is strictly for Internal Audit professionals only.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities:</b><br/><br/>- Plan and execute branch audits and field audits across housing finance / LAP / home loan business locations.<br/><br/>- Review loan files, documentation, KYC, property papers, valuation, legal reports, PD checks and disbursement controls for process compliance.<br/><br/>- Identify policy deviations, documentation gaps, sanction irregularities and audit observations.<br/><br/>- Evaluate adherence to RBI Master Directions and NBFC guidelines relevant to mortgage lending.<br/><br/>- Perform control testing / sample testing / walkthroughs on end-to-end lending process.<br/><br/>- Draft audit reports including findings, recommendations and risk rating.<br/><br/>- Work with auditees to close audit points within defined timelines while ensuring sustainable corrective action.<br/><br/>- Provide support in fraud investigation cases / exception monitoring when required.<br/><br/><b>Mandatory Skill Requirements:</b><br/><br/>- Strong Internal Audit experience in Housing Finance / LAP / Home Loan lending<br/><br/>- Conducted on-site branch audits & field audits (not desk audits only)<br/><br/>- Knowledge of RBI circulars, NBFC norms & mortgage lending regulations<br/><br/>- Ability to independently draft audit observations & closure reports<br/><br/>- Advanced proficiency in Excel and audit documentation<br/><br/><b>Desired Candidate Profile:</b><br/><br/>- CA preferred, though experienced non-CA candidates will also be considered<br/><br/>- Background in NBFC / Housing Finance Company / Bank (Mortgage vertical) is mandatory<br/><br/>- Should be comfortable with regular travel for field and branch audits<br/><br/>- Strong communication, independence and stakeholder management skills</p><br/></p> (ref:iimjobs.com)
