About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Cost Estimation Engineer to join our team, specializing in high-precision machining and aerospace-grade components . The role involves evaluating product drawings, defining manufacturing processes, and preparing accurate cost estimates for machining, raw materials, and special processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret product drawings and specifications to define manufacturing requirements.
  • Evaluate tolerances, fit, and function to decide optimal processes.
  • Estimate costs for CNC machining (3/4/5-axis), turning, turnmill, and general machining.
  • Prepare cost analysis for special processes such as CCA, heat treatment, anodizing, painting, etc.
  • Identify cost-effective machining sequences and material nesting strategies for optimization.
  • Work with aerospace-grade materials (Aluminium, Titanium, Inconel).
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for RFQs including raw materials, machining, special processes, and outsourcing.
  • Use software tools like AutoCAD, CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, and MS Excel for estimation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with design, production, and procurement teams to ensure thorough cost analyses and pricing strategies.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Hands-on experience in precision machining cost estimation .
  • Strong mechanical engineering knowledge and ability to read technical drawings.
  • Experience in CNC milling, turning, and multi-axis machining .
  • Knowledge of special processes and aerospace materials .
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, CATIA, NX, SolidWorks).
  • Excellent skills in MS Excel for costing and reporting.
  • Experience preparing RFQs and detailed cost estimates .
