Job Summary
Lead and manage associates responsible for providing Capacity Planning and Management to overall Ensono shared IT infrastructure and contracted client environments. This position requires an individual that can also be hands-on and able to step-in at times to perform functions. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who will be responsible for providing capacity management capabilities for large, diverse and fast-growing infrastructures which include Mainframe, IBMi/AIX, and Private Cloud environments. Responsibilities include overall governance of Global IT Capacity Management for multi-location hosted environments. Developing capacity strategies which support organizational and tower lead support initiatives. Delivering solutions that provide repeatable metrics to measure organizational infrastructure capacity and provide input to resource trending and forecasting. Define and develop processes to perform system and workload forecasting, modeling, and trending in support of the organizational global enterprise environment. Performance Analysis using internally developed and vendor tools to increase efficiency through automation and/or template utilization as appropriate. Identify and investigate cost reduction opportunities, efficiency improvements and methods to support technologies in our environments. Stays engaged with industry trends, products and service offerings, which are relevant to existing and emerging technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Proficient with Microsoft Office toolsManage multiple projects with minimal support and continuing shifting prioritiesDatabase and data warehouse/data lake concepts and experienceStrong knowledge and practical comprehension of corporate IT computing processes and methodologiesWorking knowledge of IT platforms (compute, storage, network)Brings prior experience to organize and define work for complex or ambiguous situationsProvides consultation, training, and knowledge sharing to associatesActively contributes to domain body of knowledgeProvide mentoring to lower-level job roles as neededDefine technical strategies within the team and unitProvide Support and technical expertise and guidance to other teams and towersLead and mentor high complexity assignments to other associates on the teamEstablish strong relationships with teams and outsource partners through continuous dialogue and supportEnable team members to be successful by providing opportunities for continual learning and professional growth Leadership and support to teams on platform agnostic strategies related to capacity methodologiesDefine, engineer, and deploy automation solutions for capacity team supported processesPerform Analytic Modeling tools used to right-size solutionsProvide support on designs for new client opportunities and technology refreshesPrinciple transformation partner of enterprise and supported clients’ IT processing technologiesInnovation thought leader on emerging technologies and automation solutions Qualifications
Required – Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5-years’ experience; or equivalent work experiencePreferred – Understands the competitive landscape from both a business and technical perspectiveTravel % – 10%
