Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.
Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities
Responsible for cleanroom buy-off and sustaining activities to ensure fab cleanliness, driving yield improvement and contamination control (Particles, AMPC, VOC/TOC).
Develop and execute fab-wide contamination control strategy (particles, metals, organics, ionic contamination, and AMC/molecular contamination).
Develop and maintain automated CFM data monitoring and alert systems (hardware/software) to enable early issue detection.
Define, track, and improve contamination KPIs (defectivity, adders, SPC alarms, excursions).
Perform root-cause analysis (RCA) using defect maps, inline/metrology data, equipment logs, PM history, chemical/gas lots, and FOUP/AMHS history.
Define contamination requirements and acceptance criteria for new tools, tool moves, part changes, and process changes (baseline + re-qualification).
Manage contamination controls for chemicals, gases, and UPW , point-of-use control, and change management with Facility/suppliers
Collaborate cross-functionally with Process, Equipment, Yield, QA/QC, Facilities, and Production to implement sustainable contamination controls.
Drive yield improvement and reduce contamination-driven reliability risks co-working with Module/INT/Reliability/MFG/FAC teams integration teams
Mentor more Engineers as required
Travel, as necessary
Presentation to internal teams and senior executives
Drive cross-functional yield improvement projects and DOEs
Lead FA and convert findings into corrective/preventive actions

Qualifications
M. S in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, M. Tech in Chemical or equivalent
Strong understanding of analytical techniques (Chromatography, SEM, ICP-MS, etc).
Deep understanding of Semiconductor wafer Fabrication
Proven track record in yield improvement on new and mature technologies
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and achieve project completion within timeline and cost targets
Ability to work across different cultures and geographies
Good team player
Innovation and competitive mindset
Desired Experience Level
7+ years experience in the semiconductor industry
Proven track record of successfully developing new technologies into high volume production
Proven problem solving skills using design of experiments and analytical tools
