Job Summary:
CGI is seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Manager / Delivery Manager to drive end-to-end technology delivery while leading high-performing engineering teams. The role requires strong expertise in Agile/SAFe delivery, people management, architectural governance, DevSecOps practices, and stakeholder engagement to ensure predictable, secure, and high-quality outcomes.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Architecture Oversight
• Provide technical vision and direction aligned with business strategy
• Review and govern solution architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability
• Guide teams on design patterns, technology choices, and best engineering practices
• Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards and non-functional requirements
Agile / SAFe Delivery Leadership
• Lead Agile/SAFe delivery across multiple teams or ARTs
• Act as a champion for Agile values, continuous improvement, and Lean principles
• Partner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Release Train Engineers to ensure effective planning, PI execution, and delivery predictability
• Track and improve velocity, quality, and flow metrics
People Management & Performance Coaching
• Manage, mentor, and coach engineers and technical leads
• Conduct goal setting, performance reviews, and career development planning
• Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning
• Identify skill gaps and drive upskilling and succession planning
Delivery Governance & Execution
• Own delivery commitments, milestones, and release readiness
• Establish governance frameworks for quality, compliance, and risk
• Monitor delivery KPIs (schedule, cost, quality, productivity)
• Ensure adherence to SDLC, Agile, and organizational standards
DevSecOps Enablement
• Drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure-as-code
• Embed security, compliance, and quality checks into the delivery pipeline (DevSecOps)
• Collaborate with security and platform teams to ensure secure-by-design solutions
• Promote reliability, observability, and operational excellence
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
• Act as a trusted technology advisor to business and senior leadership
• Manage expectations and communicate delivery status, risks, and dependencies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, Security, and Operations
• Support customer and regulatory interactions when required
Risk & Dependency Management
• Identify technical, delivery, and operational risks early
• Drive mitigation plans and escalation where needed
• Manage cross-team dependencies and external vendor relationships
• Ensure business continuity and resilience planning
Technical & Delivery Skills
• Strong background in software engineering and system design
• Hands-on understanding of modern architectures (microservices, cloud, APIs, event-driven systems)
• Deep experience with Agile and/or SAFe frameworks
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, and DevSecOps practices
Leadership & Management Skills
• Proven experience managing and scaling engineering teams
• Strong coaching, mentoring, and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to balance technical depth with people and delivery management
Governance & Risk
• Experience in delivery governance, compliance, and audit requirements
• Strong risk assessment and mitigation capabilities
• Communication & Stakeholder Management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to influence without authority and work with senior stakeholders
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Experience:
• 10+ Years in Software Engineering with minimum 6+ years in technical and people leadership roles.
Preferred Qualifications
• SAFe Agilist / SAFe Practitioner certification
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience in regulated domains (Banking, Financial Services, Healthcare, etc.)
• Exposure to large-scale transformation or modernization programs
