Manager, Device Sourcing

ControlZ is building one of India’s most advanced platforms for renewing pre-owned smartphones at scale. We work with a wide network of partners to procure high-quality pre-owned devices and renew them using world-class processes, automation, and quality standards.

We are looking for a Manager, Device Sourcing  to help procure pre-owned devices from multiple partners across the ecosystem. This role is ideal for someone who is data-driven, commercially sharp, and eager to learn , with a strong interest in supply, sourcing, and negotiations.

You will work closely with external partners and internal teams to ensure consistent device supply, strong commercials, and clear projections.

• Source pre-owned devices from multiple external partners (aggregators, retailers, enterprises, etc.)
• Coordinate regularly with partners to manage volumes, pricing, and timelines
• Support negotiations on commercials, pricing, and quality parameters
• Identify and onboard new sourcing partners over time

• Support pricing decisions and margin analysis for sourced devices
• Work with finance and operations teams on payouts, reconciliations, and partner settlements
• Apply basic accounting and cost understanding to sourcing decisions
• Ensure sourcing aligns with ControlZ’s commercial and quality goals

• Maintain and analyze sourcing data using spreadsheets (Excel / Google Sheets)
• Track partner-wise performance: volumes, pricing, quality outcomes
• Share regular sourcing reports and projections with internal teams
• Use data to improve sourcing efficiency and negotiation outcomes

• Coordinate with operations, refurbishment, and planning teams
• Share supply projections to help teams plan capacity and execution
• Act as a bridge between external partners and internal stakeholders

• Work closely with the Quality team to learn ControlZ’s device quality parameters
• Understand grading, defects, and acceptance criteria
• Use quality insights to reduce rejections and secure better-quality devices at source

• 6 months+ experience  in Supply Chain, Accounts, Procurement, Operations, or a related field
• Strong comfort with numbers, data, and spreadsheets
• Good commercial understanding and willingness to negotiate
• Clear communication and coordination skills
• Willingness to learn quality parameters and device fundamentals

• Experience in electronics, smartphones, or refurbished devices
• Accounting or finance exposure (costing, margins, reconciliations)
• Prior experience dealing with vendors or partners
• Startup or fast-paced environment exposure

• Learn end-to-end device sourcing in a fast-growing company
