    We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Manager, External Reporting & Accounting to lead the delivery of high‑quality external financial reporting, provide trusted accounting advice, and ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements across the Group.

    In this pivotal role, you’ll partner closely with divisional finance teams, tax, treasury, sustainability and digital teams, while acting as a key liaison with our auditors. You’ll help shape our accounting responses to emerging reporting requirements—particularly in sustainability and climate-related disclosures—and support continuous improvement across reporting processes and systems.

    Key responsibilities

  • External Reporting – Financial and Sustainability - Support the delivery of interim and annual external reporting for the Group, including statutory accounts for trusts, subsidiaries, joint ventures and funds. Interpret and plan for mandatory climate reporting standards (AASB S2). Assist with developing and implementing the process to deliver climate reporting.
  • Technical Accounting & Advisory - Provide timely, practical accounting advice to divisional finance teams on transactions, projects and business activities. Assess the accounting implications of acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, developments and other transactions.
  • New & Emerging Accounting Requirements - Monitor changes in accounting standards, interpretations and regulatory guidance, including emerging sustainability and climate-related reporting requirements.
  • Audit & Stakeholder Management - Act as a key point of contact for external auditors on allocated areas of the audit. Coordinate audit deliverables, respond to audit queries and support the timely resolution of issues.
  • Process, Systems & Continuous Improvement - Support the ongoing improvement and standardisation of external reporting and record-to-report processes. Contribute to initiatives to improve data quality, controls, documentation and reporting efficiency.

    • About You

  • Approximately 5–8 years’ accounting experience, ideally with both professional services and industry exposure.
  • CPA/CA or CFA qualified.
  • Background in external reporting, statutory accounts and technical accounting in a complex organisation.
  • Experience advising on transactions and business initiatives.
  • Strong technical accounting capability with pragmatic application.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex matters to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.
