Job Summary:

The Manager – Contracts Management & Automation will be responsible for overseeing end‑to‑end contract lifecycle activities, including contract reviews, cancellations, deactivations, cash application coordination, SLA management, reporting, and stakeholder communication, while leading the digital transformation of contracts processes using AI and automation. The role involves leading and mentoring a team, deploying AI‑enabled CLM and O2C tools, and driving continuous process improvement to deliver higher accuracy, faster cycle times, and better business outcomes in close collaboration with cross‑functional and US‑based stakeholders.

What You Be Doing:

Contract Management & Risk

  • Own the full contract lifecycle from intake, drafting support, review, approvals, execution, amendments, renewals, and terminations, ensuring compliance with commercial, legal, and financial policies.
  • Review client contracts using both manual judgment and AI‑assisted tools to identify discrepancies, risks, non‑standard clauses, and revenue or cash‑flow impacts, and recommend mitigation actions.
  • Define and maintain playbooks, clause libraries, and standard templates to improve consistency and reduce turnaround time.
  • Participate in account‑level and internal audits, ensuring documentation, approvals, and system data are complete and accurate.
  • Handle cancellation and cash application mailboxes; respond to internal and external queries.
  • Support customer-related decision-making in coordination with US stakeholders.

AI, Automation & Digital Transformation

  • Lead the roadmap for AI‑enabled contract management and Order‑to‑Cash automation, working with Finance, Legal, IT, and Operations to design and implement solutions.
  • Champion the use of AI/ML and intelligent automation (e.g., AI contract review, clause extraction, RPA for data entry, predictive analytics) to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and accelerate contract TAT and cash realization.
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize CLM and O2C platforms (e.g., AI‑native CLM, workflow tools, OCR, and analytics solutions), ensuring integrations with core systems like ERP and CRM.
  • Define, monitor, and improve automation KPIs such as percentage of automated workflows, reduction in manual touches, reduction in review time, and impact on DSO and revenue leakage.

Process Design, Continuous Improvement & Projects

  • Design and optimize end‑to‑end processes for contract intake, approvals, billing triggers, and downstream O2C activities, ensuring scalability and strong controls.
  • Lead and/or sponsor transformation projects (e.g., CLM rollout, AI contract review implementation, O2C automation) from requirements through change management and stabilization, with clear business cases and benefits realization.
  • Run regular root‑cause analyses on defects, escalations, and revenue or cash leaks; translate findings into process and system enhancements and track impact over time.

Financial & Cash Application Oversight

  • Oversee entry and recording of daily cash receipts and adjustments, ensuring accurate reconciliation of daily cash receipts with system‑generated batch totals, supported where possible by AI‑driven matching.
  • Manage allocation, research, and application of unidentified and customer payments, using analytics and automation to reduce unapplied cash.
  • Coordinate with banks and internal stakeholders on missing receipts, transaction details, and discrepancy resolution.

Reporting, Analytics & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports on contract and O2C performance (e.g., contract cycle time, SLA adherence, renewal rates, DSO, dispute trends), leveraging BI and AI‑driven insights.
  • Present weekly and monthly performance updates, risk summaries, and transformation progress to Finance leadership and other senior stakeholders.
  • Communicate goals, progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to onshore and offshore stakeholders, influencing decision‑making with data‑backed recommendations.

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high‑performing team to ensure productivity, accuracy, and adherence to KPIs and SLAs.
  • Build team capability in AI tools, analytics, and automation by driving training, best‑practice sharing, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and structured problem‑solving in the contracts and O2C space.

What You Need For The Role:

Education & Experience

  • Graduate/Post‑Graduate with 12–14 years of experience in Order‑to‑Cash, contract management, or related finance operations.
  • Demonstrated people management experience leading multi‑level teams is mandatory.
  • Proven track record of leading or playing a key role in at least one AI/automation or digital transformation project in contract management or O2C (e.g., CLM implementation, AI contract review, RPA deployment).
  • Prior experience working with US‑based entities and stakeholders; experience in IT/SaaS or technology industry preferred.

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end Order‑to‑Cash processes and how contracts drive billing, revenue, and cash application.
  • Hands‑on experience with contract lifecycle management systems and/or AI‑enabled contract tools (e.g., AI clause extraction, automated redlining, obligation tracking).
  • Working knowledge of ERP and CRM platforms (e.g., Oracle EBS, Salesforce.com) and ability to define requirements for integrations and workflow automation.
  • Proficiency in using data and analytics (Excel, SQL, BI tools, or similar) to identify trends, drive decisions, and measure transformation impact.
  • Familiarity with RPA, AI agents, or low‑code automation platforms for finance and O2C processes is a strong plus.

Behavioral & Competency Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with senior onshore stakeholders and influence cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, logical, and problem‑solving abilities, with a structured, data‑driven approach to decisions.
  • Highly detail‑oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills; comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and customer-focused mindset.
  • Change‑agent mindset: proactive, outcome‑oriented, comfortable challenging the status quo, and able to lead teams through process and technology change.
