Manager- Land and Legal

Travelling: Gujarat & Rajasthan (15–20 days/month)

Role Overview

Responsible for leading end-to-end land acquisition and legal processes for large Solar & Wind projects, including land identification, negotiation, documentation, regulatory approvals, and liaisoning with government authorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate private/government land parcels for renewable energy projects.

• Lead land acquisition, negotiations, lease/purchase agreements, and handover.

• Manage legal documentation: sale deeds, lease deeds, MoUs, title verification, registration.

• Handle due diligence, land records, surveys, NA conversion, and compliance checks.

• Liaison with district/ state authorities—Collector, SDM, Tehsildar, GEDA, GETCO, AAI, MOD etc.

• Ensure all approvals, permits, and statutory clearances are completed on time.

• Resolve land disputes, ROW issues, ownership claims, and community-related matters.

• Maintain complete land databases, document trails, and MIS reporting.

• Lead and mentor a field & legal team across multiple sites.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Land Acquisition & Legal (preferably Solar/Wind).

• Hands-on experience with government liaisoning and land documentation.

• Knowledge of state land laws, title search, NA process, registration, and compliance.

• Proficiency in MS Office; Gujarati language preferred.

• Willingness to travel frequently across project locations.
