Responsibilities and Qualifications
- To underwrite all marine classes within authority limit
- To issue all marine policies and endorsements including policies from branches
- To analyse marine results via monthly reportings
- To assist in reviewing exception reports to ensure branches follow the company's underwriting guidelines
- To provide customer and branch response in relation to Marine Underwriting guidelines
- To review Renewals with claims experience
- To train staff and agents on different classes of liability e.g. Marine Cargo, Hull & Goods-in-Transit.
- To assist the other Underwriting Units whenever required
- To assist the Head of Department (HOD) in carrying out ad-hoc projects
- To adhere to AMLA provisions and all other applicable policies and compliance matters concerning
- GEGM and the Great Eastern Group and be vigilant to uphold these in the discharge of duties
